I decided to travel to Mauritius with my partner in February 2020 for two weeks. Exotic palm trees, sun, pristine beaches and wild nature is what we were looking for. We loved experiencing everything, from wild nature to delicious local food and the immensely beautiful sunsets that has given us an unforgettable trip.
Mauritius is an African island in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar. The 1.2 million Mauritians, who are a mix of Indian, Chinese, French, and African people, live from tourism and the main export of sugarcane. The island has the third biggest Corals in the world and is known as one of the ultimate destinations to relax in paradise beaches with azure blue waters. There is a huge difference between the north and the south. The island is small but has so much to offer.
I recommend visiting Chamarel waterfalls, the biggest in the island, the 7-colored earth and a boat trip through Île aux Cerfs, a private island with incredible paradise beaches. I will come back again, this island has very special vibes.
